Arrival in El Salvador a day later than planned

Well, I have got lots of ready to publish entries for my blog, and as soon as I get a wifi adapter expect plenty.

I really wished that I had paid more attention to the little details, as I was not aware that once you enter Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua or Guatamala that you have passed the border concerns for all of them, and that you can go through any of the borders without having to fill in any more silly forms, just ensure you have your passport ready to show, a little cash and be within the 90 days limit for the region.

When I was in Copan ruinas I could have got a local bus down the 1 hour to the border and then got a different bus to the other side, instead i wasted a half a day going back to San pedro Sula and a whoel day there to then catch a expensive interenational bus that took 7 hours to get to San Salvador .. .what a crock of shit that was.

And THIS is why I need to pay more attention and speak more Spanish, as if I was more fluent I could have fully explained and understood the receptionist in Copan and also saved myself at least a day and a half - and one more reason to check that your staying in a place where they can speak your language if your not fluent in theirs!!!

Anyway, I arrived to find a hotel where noone spoken englis, had no map or tourist info, had no internet and when i found an internet cafe i had some news that my local friend was busy and couldnt see me, not the most auspicious start to a new country, but ive had worse.

Oh well, at least i´m near a metro station, a few night clubs and restaurants so it could be worse.
